The Service
We facilitate rapid, smooth and cost-effective development and approval of all materials; releasing our clients’ resources to be used more productively elsewhere. Benchmarking studies have demonstrated that errors in material are the single largest cause of repeat review cycles. These repeat cycles squeeze deadlines, increase your costs and often demand longer working hours from the entire development team.
Our experts quickly and accurately review your materials within Veeva Vault or PDFs, against three sets of criteria:
- technical and scientific accuracy: are all statements supported by a credible reference, and are all references properly highlighted, linked and marked up?
- compliance with the Code of Conduct (ABPI, EFPIA, ABHI etc)
- written in the language of healthcare professionals
Once we have identified all errors we make constructive, clear and accurate comments, proposing at least one practical solution to each error and, where possible, two. We then leave clients to decide how to implement changes. Knowing that all errors have been identified frees them to focus on their strategic issues.
If needed, a teleconference can be held after the review to help find the optimum solution to each issue.
How we work
We recommend that we see materials as early as possible, but we can get involved at any stage. As soon as we receive a job for review, we allocate it to a review team member. It is a two-stage review to ensure that every item is checked by two sets of eyes: The first reviewer checks against the criteria above. The second reviewer checks for completeness and quality. The final QC is always a GMC-registered physician.
Our team is made up of experienced scientific writers who are passionate about improving the copy review process for everyone involved.
Scope and pricing
We can help with just one tricky presentation or we can review all the materials for a specific brand or therapy area or your entire portfolio. Our pricing structure is straightforward and transparent.
Once we have determined the complexity of a brief we provide a detailed quote and because we record the time taken to complete our reviews our clients only ever pay for work completed.
Because the standard review process draws on expensive, qualified staff and our service releases these for deployment elsewhere, our clients see significant cost savings.
